Brian’s Story
Brian has always been active. He didn’t want arthritis to change that. Thanks to guidance from the Arthritis Foundation, Brian crossed an item off his bucket list – visiting Mount Everest.
After being diagnosed with osteoarthritis (OA) in both knees, Brian was fearful his condition would impact his future lifestyle and activities. As a former competitive athlete and fitness enthusiast, he didn’t want to stop his active lifestyle. Fortunately, he found the Arthritis Foundation’s website, which quickly became his go-to source for answering his OA questions and finding information on alleviating, coping and treating his arthritis.
The tips and resources Brian received from the Arthritis Foundation helped him complete a lifelong goal, a trekking expedition part way up Mount Everest to Tengboche monastery.
