Community Connections

Community Connection volunteer roles include:

Group Facilitator  Live Yes! Connect Groups are peer-led groups that provide connections with others and social support. Facilitators plan and lead engaging, educational and social activities in their local community, both virtual and in person, when it’s safe to do so. We have groups for adults living with all types of arthritis and rheumatic conditions as well as groups for parents and/or guardians of children living with juvenile arthritis and their loved ones.

Community Educator — Arthritis Community Educators provide in-person and virtual patient and community education presentations, connecting the local community, patients and their loved ones to Arthritis Foundation resources and support.

Online Connections Volunteer — These volunteers connect and interact with arthritis communities through various social media platforms and established online arthritis groups representing the Arthritis Foundation. They give people with arthritis and families impacted by juvenile arthritis a personalized connection to resources, services and opportunities that will help them live their best life.

Community Outreach  Community Outreach volunteers support local Arthritis Foundation efforts to connect with their local arthritis community to share opportunities, support and resources. You can join a team of volunteers who feel comfortable talking to people about their arthritis experience and are willing to reach out to their networks and to new community partners to build awareness of the Arthritis Foundation’s life-changing resources.

Join the fight and, together, let’s conquer arthritis. Learn more about volunteer opportunities.
