Stock Your Pantry for Easy Cooking

Keep these items handy in your pantry or fridge, and you’ll save time and effort when planning recipes.


Dry goods: Baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, bread crumbs, bouillon granules, flour, sugar (granulated and brown), cornmeal, pasta, oats, rice (especially brown and pilaf mixes), garlic, onions, nuts, dried spices


Canned goods: Roasted red peppers, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, tomatoes (diced, sauce, paste), vegetables, fruit, beans


Fresh produce:  Packaged pre-washed salad greens, chopped onions and peppers, packaged baby carrots, sliced fresh fruit and vegetables


Condiments: Ketchup, mustard, low-sodium soy sauce, salsa, vinegars (balsamic, cider, and distilled red), oils (olive and vegetable)


Other: Nonstick sprays and disposable foil baking pans
